Effective Demos, Better Leads
You know what I love about landing page design? It doesn’t need to be complicated. And after a decade plus of designing for inbound marketing I’ve got a pretty good understanding of what makes a page convert.
In the case of Owl Labs’ weekly live demo experience, the lead gen process needed some love — both the sign up page and recording page were missing some basic best practices. My design work, in partnership with our Digital and Demand Gen marketers, instituted the following improvements:
Strong contextual product imagery — the Meeting Owl experience needs to be seen to be believed
A single and focused call to action with minimal navigation
A clear value prop and digestible benefits
Social proof
Lead routing for those who wanted to jump directly to sales or would miss the live event
Sometimes simple really is better.
